I’m An Unexpected & Exciting Choice

TL;DR I’m grateful to be a contributing member of the World-Class Information Security Team at Kraken, a culture and org on the bleeding edge of financial disruption and innovation where I hover above cryptocurrency, resilience engineering, and human behavior where they collide. My primary charter is regent and champion of the Kraken value of being “Productively Paranoid”— as a design principle and a survival trait.

I design for failure — on purpose. I challenge teams to focus on the productive part of being Productively Paranoid, by broadening perspective, outpacing risk, interrogating ease, and owning our exposures before they own us—and build with the presumption that failure isn’t an if but a when.

Also, untethered paranoia will destroya.
